Greg Jackson (Dragon Within) vs. Jeff Silva (Premier Fight Team)
These guys were entering the cage as I walked in, and Jeff looked like a killer and Greg didn't look the part at all. He looked like your average 18-19 year old kid and I'm not familiar with his team, so I assumed he was going to get hammered. As it turns out, I was wrong. This was one of the best amateur fights I've ever seen, and not just from an action stand point. These two guys could fight, and were incredibly slick. There was way too much action to give a play by play of it, and both guys had their share of submission attempts and landed their share of punches. It was a war, and both guys looked like they had the skills to hang with the pros. Greg won via decision, and I can't wait to see these two fight again. As I said on the podcast last week, Greg reminded me of a young Joe Lauzon. Very similar style with his BJJ, and always pressing the action, but never looked wild.
